Intel® Core™ i7-9700K Processor 8 Core (Up to 4.9GHz)
The Intel Core i7 9700K was introduced alongside the first-of-its-kind Core i9 9900K, which left the cheaper of the two in a rather strange place. Usually, the Core i7 would be king of the hill, the best CPU in Intel’s desktop, non-HEDT lineup. It was usually the fastest, too.
With the 9th Gen, the Core i9 9900K took that position, reserving 5GHz and above for its sacred silicon. Not only that, but Intel also flipped off Hyper-Threading for the Core i7, meaning it arrived with eight cores and eight threads, as opposed to the Core i9 9900K’s eight cores and 16 threads.
Another jewel for the Intel series CPUs is the Intel Core i7-9700K. It is mostly here because of its high processing speed of 4.9 GHz and the 8 cores/16 threads it has. This amount of processing power, combined with the fact that it’s a fairly priced CPU makes us consider it as one of the best processors for video editing. It has a chance of 12 MB and a very low power consumption of 95W. At the very least, it will not overload your Power Supply, even though you should really be careful of what power supply you have.
When it comes to motherboard compatibility this CPU requires an LGA 1151 socket to connect, so if you planning to get this CPU to make sure that you get the correct motherboard to go with it.
