The KZ AM01 is a USB-C to 3.5 mm dongle DAC for phones and laptops without a headphone jack, with a MAX97220 amplifier chip next to its DAC chip. KZ rates it at 30 mW into 32 Ω and up to 32-bit/384 kHz playback. It needs a USB-C port that supports OTG audio, and it has no buttons, so volume stays on your device.

• A MAX97220 amp chip sits next to the DAC chip to drive your earphones
• 30 mW into 32 Ω (1 Vrms), enough for most IEMs from a phone
• Plays files up to 32-bit/384 kHz over USB-C
• Kevlar-braided lead about 11 cm long, small enough to leave on your earphones
• Plug-and-play on USB-C phones, tablets and laptops with OTG support
